SHOBO AKITAS
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF BOKU MAKING AKITA HISTORY AND HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS!

"BOKU"

U-ACHX U-CD Boku Sabaku AX CD CGC VAX
3/7/91 - 9/8/03
Boku is who started my whole Akita addiction.
I started training in agility with him when he was 8 mo old.
The list of accomplishments  Boku and I haveachieved, and the obstacles (no pun intended) we've had are high!
Considering where we started and came from, it's just that much more rewarding.
Here are the titles we have earned, and the Akita history we've made together.
His name is U-ACHX U-CD Boku Sabaku AX CD CGC VAX
I will break down each title, the highest one, being the title carried on his name.
Thanks Boku, for the memories, and all you have taught me....

U-AG1(UKC novice agility title) first Akita to achieve
U-AG2(UKC open agility title) first Akita to achieve
U-ACH(UKC agility trial champion) first and only Akita to achieve
U-ACHX(UKC agility trial champion excellent) first and only Akita to achieve
NA(AKC novice agility title) second Akita to achieve
OA(AKC open agility title) first Akita to achieve
AX(AKC agility excellent title) first Akita to achieve
          CD(AKC companion dog title)
          U-CD(UKC companion dog title)
CGC (canine good citizen)
VAX (Versatile Akita Excellent) one of the first Akitas to achieve

Unfortunately due to an injury Boku received chasing a deer, I decided with heavy heart to retire Boku from agility in March of 1998 old by then, and had done his fair share. My goal was to  be the first MX (MX AKC Master Agility title) Akita also.
It wasn't ment to be.
However,  I am very proud to have paved the way for other Akitas acceptance in the agility ring.
These are memories I will always cherish, me and my Boku.....
I am pleased to announce we now have and MX titled Akitas.
Boku placed many, many times (1rst-4th placements)and these are ALL BREED shows.
We even earned one HIT (high in trial)!NOTHING made me happier, than to be in the placement line
ahead of all the Border Collies and Shelties with an Akita:)
Boku also earned his U-CD and CD (AKC/UKC companion dog titles)in seven shows,
however he never excelled in obedience like he did inagility, he never really liked it. We were trained to the open (CDX) level

Boku crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 9/8/03 at 12 1/2 yrs old due to old age.
Rest Well Old Guy
You were a GREAT dog.
